What hi:voca is
hi:voca is a voice and video chat built for talking regularly: work calls, gaming sessions, study groups, or just catching up with friends. Instead of scheduling a meeting in advance, you keep a room open and anyone with the link drops in whenever it suits them.
A room takes a second to create and lasts as long as you need it. Calls are not cut off by a timer, the number of participants is not capped by a plan, and audio quality holds up as the room fills.
Everything runs in the browser — the other person only has to open a link. For everyday use there are apps for Windows and Android, adding hotkeys, background operation, and app audio capture while sharing your screen.

Open hi:voca in the browser or in the app and press “Create room”. Signing up takes less than a minute.
Send the link

Is hi:voca free?
Yes. Voice and video calls, screen sharing, and persistent rooms are free, with no limit on how long a call can run.
Do I need to install anything?
No. hi:voca runs in the browser on desktop and mobile. The Windows and Android apps are for people who want hotkeys, background operation, and app audio capture.
How many people fit in a room?
Up to fifty people at once in one room. Everyone’s voice travels as its own stream, so a full room sounds the same as a one-on-one call.
Can I share my screen with audio?
Yes. You can share your whole screen or a single window and send that app’s audio along with it — to watch a video together or go through a game, for example.
What does hi:voca store about me?
We never ask for an email or a phone number — a name and a key are enough to sign in. We store your name, avatar, chosen language, and a list of your devices in the form of “Chrome 131”, without IP addresses or the full browser string. Calls are never recorded: the server only passes audio and video between participants.
Does hi:voca work on a phone?
Yes. There is an Android app and a mobile web version with voice, video, and viewing someone else’s screen share.
