The app or the browser

The room is the same either way: voice, video, screen sharing with sound, and chat. What differs is what only the app can do.

In the browser

Nothing to install: the room opens from a link — on Windows, macOS, Linux and from a phone. A guest needs no account to join.

In the app

Hotkeys fire over a game and over full-screen windows — a browser never sees those presses. You can share one program together with its sound instead of the whole screen. And a call folds into a small panel that stays above your other windows.

Before you install

Windows

One installer, one click — it will not ask you to pick a folder. After that the app keeps track of versions itself: it downloads an update in the background and offers to restart.

Linux

The AppImage is a single file for any distribution: allow executing it in the file properties and open it. The app adds itself to the menu and keeps itself up to date. The .deb package installs with a double click, and when it updates the system asks for your password, as with any installation.

Android

The APK is hosted by us rather than Google Play, so the system will ask for permission to install apps from this source. It is the standard Android prompt, and you grant it once.
